Tanner started his first day of kindergarten on Wednesday. He was so excited to go to his new school, and make new friends. When I dropped him off he had no problem leaving me. Tanner went straight to the playground and waved goodbye. However, when I picked him up from school his attitude was completely different. He said that he didn't like school because the time spent away from home was to long, (2 1/4 hours). We started a family tradition last year that our family will go out to dinner on the first day of school. This year we kept that tradition going, but Tanner was not a happy camper. Tanner didn't want to go out to dinner and didn't want anyone else to go either. He reluctantly joined the rest of his family but made it known that he was miserable. Parker on the other hand said, "I like this place, I want to stay here all day long." Thursday I was really nervous taking Tanner to school, however once again he went with no problem, and this time he had a great day. Friday was also a great day for him. On Friday afternoon I made a surprise visit to his classroom so I could see how things were going. I was very impressed, he is going to have a very successful year.
Like I said before, I have been training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. This week I walked a total of 23 miles, 10 of those I walked last night! I was so sore this morning I didn't think that I was going to be able to get out of bed.
Next week is Parker's birthday! He will be turning 4. Where does the time go?
