We spent Father's Day at my parent's home in Laguna Niguel. We celebrated by having a huge Father's Day dinner. I was planning on frying up a couple of chickens but my dad had a different idea. He wanted to shove a coke can up a chicken's butt and throw it on his 20 year old BBQ, (it came with the purchase of the house in 88'). The BBQ was too small to cover the bird so he had to cover the chicken with tin foil. Notice the top half of the bird is white and the bottom is black. Anyways, him and my mom ate that chicken and the rest of us had fried chicken.
While preparing dinner on Father's Day I heard Tait yelling, "Bow to your sen-sei". Come to find out he was teaching the kids Napoleon Dynamite/Karate Kid moves. It was so funny watching them, especially since Tait was so serious. It was so nice having Tait with us for a few days. We had a great time with him. While he was in California we went swimming in the pool, went to the beach, went on walks, took the kids to the tide pools, etc.. It was sad to see Tait go back to Arizona on Monday night, but he will be back in a week and a half, and this time he will stay for 10 days. 
This week my mom and I took the kids to the Discovery Science museum. They had a blast, I had no idea how much fun they would have. There was so much to see and learn. I think their favorite part was an exhibit called"Grossology", it was all about poo and puke.
The following picture is what happens if I don't come quick enough to wipe Parker. Notice the book on the floor he brought with him to the bathroom, it is a Baby Einstein book written in Spanish.
Our cabin is officially a stop on the pirate boat lake tour. Each day the pirate boat pulls in front of our cabin, the kids pretend to shoot guns at the boat and explode dirt bombs. After a few minutes the kids and I count to 3 and yell, "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Then the captain tells his passengers to do the same. After his passengers yell, "FIRE IN THE HOLE" he lets of a fake cannon, it is loud! It is so loud that you can feel the ground move. Tanner pretends that the cannon hits him, and he falls down with his hands over his chest. All the passengers laugh, clap and wave at us.
Bryan, Camille, and Jeremy came up to the cabin for the weekend. It was fun to be with them. Bryan pulled out the windboard and tried to get it working. He did a pretty good job. It was funny because Bryan would read a few pages in a book called, Learn Windsurfing In A Weekend then go back to the water and try what he learned. He did this quite a few times. After a while Jeremy figured out what was going on, and yelled to Bryan, "Do you want me to read page 11 to you?"
We had another great week, however I'm missing Tait an awful lot. Each time I think about coming back to Arizona early, I look at weather.com for Queen Creek and quickly change my mind. It will be great to see him in 4 days.

Haha....I forgot that Jeremy said that to Bryan (about pg. 11). Also, I forgot that Jeremy's favorite thing at the Discovery place was the poop room. He thought it was hilarious. That wind tunnel is cool too....and the earthquake room.
You guys definitely need to get hooked up with a free pirate boat ride for making their tour so fun. You know the guy is totally bummed when you're not up there!
What a fun vacation. I'm jealous you had a beach to go to. We sure miss the carribean. Never heard of a coke can up the butt of a chicken. Don't think I want to try that one. You look great by the way Heidi.
