Kelly went home bright and early on Friday morning, she had a 8:00 flight. Even though we didn't do a lot while she was here, it was sure nice having her. The kids loved all of the attention that she was able to give them.
While Kelly was here I was able to attend a bread making class that I really enjoyed. Each week I try to make a couple loaves of white bread, however I have always wanted to learn how to make wheat bread. I finally learned how, and according to my guinea pigs, I mean neighbors, my wheat bread isn't too bad. I'm still working on a few finishing touches, but once I get it right... watch out Oroweat! In this bread class I learned about ingredients like dough enhancer and vital wheat gluten flour. I have learned that these ingredients are the keys to a beautiful yet tasty loaf of wheat bread. Did I mention that one of the reasons why I wanted to learn to make wheat bread is becuase I have 500 pounds of wheat that I don't know what to do with?
Tait went to California for a few days last week on business. Even though he was gone for such a short time we missed him so much. It is great having him back home!

That's a lot of wheat!! That's so great that you're becoming a pro at making bread. That's been on my list of things to do for a while. There is nothing like homemade wheat bread. Mmmm....I'm getting hungry.
I'll be happy to be a guine pig and try your wheat bread.Sounds yummy.
Awesome bread Heidi! I'm jealous, a skill I try and try to have, but yet still haven't mastered. And yep, I've even tried the wheat gluten and dough enhancers! ;-) Kevin says maybe by the time I'm a grandma!
