Home Sweet Home

Parker had his end of soccer season party this week. He was so excited to receive his trophy! This is the 3rd season that Parker has played on the same soccer team, The Lightning Bolts. It's a lot of fun seeing the children grow every year, and I have really enjoyed the friendships that I have made with the player's parents.

Lately it seems like either Tait or I have been gone. After the 3-Day walk I immediately got sick, cold, cough, yadda, yadda, yadda... Tait was lucky enough to have a business trip planned Wednesday morning through Friday night. I think his trip actually worked out for the best for the both of us. Since Tait was gone, he didn't have to take care of me, and I never felt guilty for not doing my wife/motherly duties. For example, the house was a mess, we had breakfast for dinner 3 nights in a row, and I forgot to brush my teeth one day. On Friday afternoon I finally went to the doctors to find out that I had a sinus infection. The antibiotics that the doctor prescribed have been working, but I still sound awful. Today I gave a lesson in Relief Society and all of the sisters probably thought that I wasn't going to make it through. By the end of the lesson I could barely speak.
From now till Christmas Tait and I both don't have any trips planned. I'm really looking forward to this holiday season. I think that this year will be our most calm and relaxing year yet. It seems like the past few years we were moving, having a baby, or visiting family in California. I'm looking forward to doing nothing but baking cookies, shopping, watching Christmas movies, and looking at Christmas decorations this year.

Heidi,
I totally agree with your comment! It's fun to read about your family (and see pictures of you all) even though we haven't met, and frankly it's practically been an eternity since I've seen Tait! Yeah, for blogs that keep long-lost, never met, families together!
