Tanner lost his first tooth last Saturday and I forgot to tell about it. The tooth ended up getting so loose that it was literally just hanging there, however if you tried to pull it the tooth would still not come out. I ended up calling our neighbor, (Jeanie always knows what to do) and she came over and made Tanner eat an apple. Sure enough, half way through the apple his tooth was gone! We thought he swallowed the tooth until Jeanie's husband found it on the ground. Obviously, the tooth fairy came that night and left a silver dollar under Tanner's pillow. It's so funny because 2 of Tanner's friends that live on our street also lost their first tooth the same week, the fairy has been busy.
While the boys were out hunting, Hunter and I had a 6:30 appointment at the surgery center. Hunter had tubes put in his ears to prevent him from having so many ear infections. Everything went well and we were home by 10:00. Here is a funny/weird/sick story... while I was waiting for Hunter in the recovery room this child almost pinched his finger in one of the heavy doors at the center. His white trash scary mom yelled at him and said that he better be careful because if he loses a finger he will only have 8 left. I thought she was joking but then I decided to count, and sure enough he only had 4 finger on 1 of his hands! Sick people, that poor little child.
Saturday Tait went hunting with a few friends and had a great time. He was back at 10:00 to get ready for the kids soccer games. Tanner and Parker both had their first soccer games of the season. Unfortunately, Tanner and Parker both had games at the same time, so Tait went to Tanner's game and I went to Parker's. I'm the team mom for Parker's team so I always feel like I need to be there. The next 10 posts will probably be all about soccer. It seems like this time of year soccer rules our lives. Parker has been having practice twice a week for 1 hour and Tanner's practice is once a week for 90 minutes! Hello, they are only 4 and 5 years old. Anyways, they have a great time, it is good for their little bodies, and their self esteem, that's why we let soccer take over for 4 months out of the year.
I love my family, my boys are precious, but most of all today I'm so thankful for such a wonderful husband. I don't know if I love him more because he is my husband, or my best friend. I don't know what I would do without him.
