The Willis Family

I decided that every Sunday I will write a blog about how the previous week went, any family news that we would like to share, and plans for the following week. Hopefully this blog will help me to keep better track of our families accomplishments, fun stories, and memorable events.

Friday the children and I returned home from spending 2 weeks in California. We were in Big Bear Lake for a week with Tait, then drove down the mountain to take him to the airport to fly home. The children and I continued onto Laguna Niguel where we spent the week at the beach. We had a blast. The children loved digging in the sand and playing in the waves. Tanner wasn't able to find any sand crabs so he was disappointed, but he had his first experience on a boogie board which was fun for him. Tanner's swimming skills have improved so much this summer, he is like a fish. Even though I gooped the boys up with sun screen each day they still got very brown, and their hair has bleached because of all the time they spent in the sun. Hunter had a rough time sleeping at my mom's, which means I had a hard time sleeping. He loved playing at the beach with his big brothers.

Tait and I had a great time being on vacation together as a family. This summer has been one huge vacation but it seems like we haven't been together as a family very much. Tait went to scout camp; Tait, Tanner, and I went to Monterey; the children and I spent 4 weeks in Califonia, but for all of us to be together at the cabin was great. Tait had a lot of fun fishing with the boys, and I had tons of fun on the wave-runner. My best friend from high school and her family came up to the cabin for the day. It was great to have them with us.

Next week swim lessons start for Tanner and Parker. I have been training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk, however I feel like I need to step up my training. My birthday is on Saturday, the big 33!
